Nintendo公司最近发布了其季度财务结果,其中一个最小的惊喜可能是Mario Kart 8 Deluxe的持续 Popularity。 everybody expected this, but that doesn't make its latest milestone any less impressive, as the game has now sold a staggering 60.58 million copies. This figure only goes up to the end of December 2023, and we're sure a few thousand more have been sold since then. The latest figure is still significant, with the now almost seven-year-old racer (even longer if you count the Wii U original) once again solidifying its position as Nintendo's best-selling game.
For comparison, this time last year, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe had sold over 50 million copies, with its total sales reaching 52 million copies by February 2023. Selling only around eight million copies in a year is a slowdown for the title, but let's not split hairs here - the total is still massive.
The game's continued success can likely be attributed to the Booster Course Pass Waves, which wrapped up last year, doubling the number of available courses and adding a few new drivers.
In related news, the plumber's latest 2D adventure, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, has had a solid start on Switch, selling a respectable 11.69 million copies, although it hasn't quite made it to the top ten best-sellers list.
